The company was established in 1974 as Golden Triangle Paper Stock Co. Inc. which provided recycling services in the Beaumont, TX. area. The name Gulf Coast Recycling (GCR) was adopted in 1989 to better reflect its growing business activities.
In 2002, Gulf Coast Recycling opened its nine acre facility on Clay Road in west Houston. GCR continued to expand its customer base and realized the need for another facility on the east side of Houston.
In 2006, the purchase of Delta Paper Stock gave GCR an east side location on Clinton Drive to compliment its Clay Road operation.
The Clay Road and Delta locations employ approximately 75 Houstonians while Beaumont employs over 25 men and women.
The west Houston complex is our largest processing facility and the home of our corporate office. This facility is capable of loading/receiving over 15 tractor trailers or ocean containers at a time as well as 8 railcars at any given time.
Acquired in January 2006, this recycling facility gives Gulf Coast a presence on Houston’s east side. This facility is has the ability to load tractor/trailer, ocean containers as well as rail.
GCR Beaumont is our original location and is located 100 miles east of Houston providing us with a terrific base of operations for East Texas, Southwest Louisiana, and western Mississippi. This facility has the ability to load tractor/trailers and ocean containers as well as rail. |
